Sometimes, words come short...

On the 30th December 2008, our beloved friend, co-deviant and amazing artist =Tammara lost her oldest son Jeremiah (see her journal [link] )

No words can describe the pain Tammara and her family are going through.
No words can describe how much we feel with them, and want to express our sympathy and support in this difficult time...
Sometimes, one single flower says more than a thousand words...

We want to invite you to participate in this community-project to create one artwork, a collage of single flowers, that expresses our friendship, love and deepest sympathy to =Tammara and her family in this time of tremendous loss.

We will add the thumbs (300x201 or 150x101) of more artworks- depicting one single flower , as the contributions from many different artists come in.

This is how you can participate:

upload an image of one single flower to you gallery, or dedicate one of your existing artworks for this purpose.
It can be any form of art: drawing, painting (digital or traditional), photo, photo manipulation... as long as it depicts one single flower only, and nothing else.
If you like to do so, you could sign with your name - that's up to you. Please do keep the signature small and not prominent though

post a link to your deviation underneath this journal.
NOTE: by posting a link, you give explicit permission for us to use a thumb(300x201 or 150x101) of your work in this common artwork collage, and to eventually have it printed as a gift to Tammara.
Credit will be given by adding icons of all the participants plus links to each individual artwork, either in the description of the common artwork itself OR (if they become too many) in a separate journal. In case of the latter, a link to that journal will be added in the description of the common artwork.

Thumbs of the artworks submitted as contribution will be collected and added to the artwork by =steppeland and ~crayonmaniac
PLEASE NOTE: We will handle the contributions with as much care as we possibly can.
Please do realise though that when using the thumbs and integrating them in the collage, some of the quality or visibility of individual work may go lost - there is nothing that can be done to avoid that. Each work will contribute to the final shape and beauty of the common artwork, though. Each contribution will also stay fave'd on this account, and will be linked to from the special credits-journal of all the contributions. In that way, each individual artwork will continue to receive all the honour it deserves.

UPDATE : Thanks + Deadline

First, thank you so much everybody for the massive reaction... it is marvellous that so many deviants wish to participate in this community project. We can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the support from each and every one. We are sure that this will mean so much for Tammara and her family!

Several people are asking us about a deadline. Since it will still take us quite some time to put all these marvellous contributions together, we would ask you to have your contributions in as soon as possible, and at the latest by this week Friday (January 9th) 3pm Central European time ( 9:00 am US Eastern Time EST / 06:00 am Pacific time / for other local times, please see the World Clock [link])
